I joined Antel in 1986, and have been working in O&M since the beginning.
1986-1988 as Engineering Student
1988-1992 as Maintenance Engineer
1992-2000 as Chief Engineer
2000-nowaday as O&M Manager
Antel is the greatest telecommunication company in the Uruguay. Our company give services of telephony, data and cellular all over our Country.
I am in charge of the operation and maintenance of the Transport Network of Antel, in the entire territory, except the metropolitan area of Montevideo (the capital city of Uruguay)
I have taken part in the development of the transport network, from the first analogic microwave radios, through the first PDH fiber equipments, until the last fiber optic systems, like NG-SDH, Core IP, and DWDM networks.
I currently dictate DWDM courses for the technical staff of our company.
Also I am professor in the ORT University, Engineering Faculty, in Radio and Fiber Optic systems.
I have done some technical articles about transmission media (transmission lines, waveguides, optical fibers, transmission techniques over fiber, radio techniques, etc.)
I have been tutor in several students’ projects, about radio and fiber developments.
