PM Session - Huawei customer workshop
Registration will take place at 14.00 and the workshop will run from 14.15-17.15
PM Session - Alcatel-Lucent customer workshop
Welcome to the 100G era
Registration will take place at 14.00 and the workshop will run from 14.15-17.15
Explosive bandwidth demand and rising end user expectations of rapid access to new generation services constitute the exaflood phenomenon - a stressor on network infrastructures and on service providers' pocketbooks.
In the vision of a High Leverage NetworkTM, this workshop will offer a unique opportunity to deep dive into the newest of Alcatel-Lucent's optical innovations - such as 100G and OTN - and provide an exciting overview on how next-generation Optical Transport Networks can support flexible, power efficient and converged mesh infrastructures to quickly and profitably deliver reliable bandwidth for end user services, today and in the future.
PM Session - Nokia Siemens Networks customer workshop
Registration will take place at 14.00 and the workshop will run from 14.15-17.15
As operators see a rapid rise in traffic in all segments of their networks, the current lambda centric DWDM network infrastructure needs to evolve to accommodate the higher demand for capacity and flexibility. IP services play an important role in the transformation of the of the optical packet network. Increased line rates up to 100G require a new conceptual approach to efficient switching and grooming in the network. The smart network of the future must provide resiliency aas well as cost-efficiency by full interworking with the IP routers.
This workshop tries to shed some light on this evolution, combining the viewpoints of analysts, equipment manufacturers and service providers. Addressed topics include the steps to increased capacity, agility and efficiency of packet optical transport, completed with the operators' perspective.
